Landen Livingston discusses Iowa offer
Three-star 2022 prospect anxious to learn more about Hawkeyes

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Landen Livingston was already aware of the Iowa football team’s history of producing NFL-caliber offensive lineman before he received a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes on Wednesday.
Now, the three-star 2022 prospect is eager to learn more about the Iowa program.
“It’s an amazing feeling,” Livingston said. “Iowa is well known for their tradition with offensive linemen. They put lots of them into the NFL which is something that stands out a lot. They really focus on the future of the player, after the football career. These are some things that stand out to me about Iowa.”
Livingston, a native of Leo, Ind., has not been to Iowa City, but said that he would like to visit campus.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA has restricted in-person contact between recruits and coaches.
“I would love to visit Iowa sometime on my own,” Livingston said. “I haven’t been out but I would love to go to the schools that have shown interest this far.”
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Livingston also has Power Five scholarship offers from Arizona State, Indiana, Michigan State and Purdue.
He said he does not currently have any favorites among the schools that have extended him offers.
“To me they all are kind of even with each other,” Livingston said. “Every school that has offered so far, I do talk to a lot. Right now I’m just looking to grow the relationship with the coaching staff. It will be a very tough decision when I decide.”
Livingston said his timeframe to narrow his list of favorites and ultimately make a decision is flexible.
“My aiming point is sometime before my senior year,” Livingston said. “I would like to commit around summer time to be exact. If I have to, I’ll push it back to right after my senior year.”
Iowa currently has one player committed to its 2022 recruiting class in four-star Gowrie, Iowa, native Aaron Graves.
