IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Iowa linebacker Fred Barr was recently diagnosed a rare condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. He’s scheduled for brain surgery on Tuesday to hopefully relieve from of his debilitating pain.

I spoke with Fred Monday when he arrived in Iowa City for his procedure at UIHC. He talked about how much the Hawkeyes Family and fans have meant to him during this tough time.
