Iowa misses out on four-star tight end Micah Riley-Ducker
IOWA CITY, Iowa – For the second time in the last week, a tight end in the 2022 recruiting class chose a school other than Iowa.
Four-star tight end Micah Riley-Ducker announced his commitment to Auburn via Instagram Live on Wednesday just days after three-star tight end Andrew Keller announced his commitment to Iowa State.
The 6-foot-6, 235-pound Riley-Ducker had Auburn, Iowa, Iowa State and Illinois among his final four schools.
Riley-Ducker, a native of Bellevue, Neb., received a scholarship offer from Iowa in August 2020 and told HawkFanatic at the time that he had grown up a fan of the Hawkeyes.
Iowa currently has seven players committed to its 2022 recruiting class, but no tight ends.
Riley-Ducker took an official visit to Iowa on June 25, two weeks after his official visit to Auburn.
He is ranked as the 15 tight end nationally, according to Rivals.com.
