IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa sophomore quarterback Alex Padilla held a zoom conference with the media on Wednesday.

The Colorado native is expected to make his second career start on Saturday against Illinois at Kinnick Stadium. Padilla made his first career start for the injured Spencer Petras last Saturday against Minnesota and threw two touchdown passes and ran for another during Iowa’s 27-22 victory at Kinnick Stadium.

Padilla also led three scoring drives in the 17-12 win over Northwestern a week earlier after replacing Petras in the first quarter.
