Central Michigan guard Molly Davis says she’s transferring to Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa women’s basketball team has added a player from the transfer portal.
Molly Davis, a 5-foot-7 guard who played her first three seasons at Central Michigan, announced her commitment to Iowa Thursday on Twitter.
A native of Midland, Michigan, Davis averaged 18.6 points per game last season for a Central Michigan team that finished 4-25 overall. In three seasons at Central Michigan, she scored 1,438 points.
Davis joins an Iowa team that finished 24-8 last season and won the Big Ten regular season and tournament championships.
Iowa has lost two players to the portal since the season ended with forward Logan Cook now headed to Providence and with guard Tomi Taiwo headed to Texas Christian.
