Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman Talks Iowa Offer, Visit
Hawkeyes Jump In with '24 MN WR
Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman watched Iowa’s offense closely on Saturday during its Homecoming contest with Northwestern at Kinnick Stadium. The Minneapolis Coon Rapids receiver pictured himself running routes for the Hawkeyes.
He liked what he witnessed from the Hawkeyes.
“I saw that they like to throw the ball and just let their wide receivers work,” Cummings-Coleman told HF. “I like that about the offense.”
Iowa has liked what it saw from him as well. It offered him a scholarship during the visit, joining Iowa State in doing so.
“It’s exciting. I like the offer from Iowa because I like how things are done there,” Cummings-Coleman said.
Connecting with the Hawkeyes stood out about the campus stop.
“I liked the part of the visit where I got to talk to the coaches and recruiters,” he said.
Cummings-Coleman (6-1, 180) has caught 51 passes for 870 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games this season. He’s also rushed nine times for 137 yards and a score, and returned seven kicks for 189 yards and a TD.
“The Iowa coaches said they liked my play all around. We didn’t really pinpoint just one thing,” he said.
