Iowa men enter AP men’s basketball poll for first time this season
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa men’s basketball has been rewarded for its 3-0 start by being ranked 25th in this week’s Associated Press top 25 poll.
It marks the first time this season that Iowa has been ranked.
The ranking comes five days after Iowa defeated Seton Hall 83-67 last Wednesday in Newark, New Jersey.
Iowa also has lopside victories over Bethune Cookman and North Carolina A&T and will play host to 1-3 Omaha on Monday in a preliminary game for Emerald Coast Classic, which will be played on Friday and Saturday in Niceville, Florida.
Iowa will play Clemson on Friday in Florida.
Iowa was in the AP top 25 for the final four weeks of last season.
