IOWA CITY, Iowa – The chance to play college football at the Power Five level apparently was too good for Illinois 3-star defensive back Teegan Davis to pass up.

Davis, who had previously been committed to Eastern Illinois, announced his commitment to Iowa Monday on Twitter.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound native of Princeton, Illinois is believed to be the 21st player to commit to Iowa’s 2023 recruiting class.

Wednesday will mark the start of the early signing period for football.

There will also be the traditional signing day on the first Wednesday in February.

Davis is a multi-sport star in high school, competing in basketball and track and field where he won a state title in the high jump.
