Veteran recruiting analyst Tom Lemming speaks highly of Iowa OL commit Josh Janowski

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Josh Janowski still has nearly a year-and-a-half left of high school, but he already knows where he wants to play college football.
The 6-foot-2, 270-pound junior offensive lineman from Tinley Park, Illinois announced his commitment to Iowa via Twitter on Monday.
Janowski is the sixth player to commit to Iowa’s 2024 recruiting class, and the second from out of state, joining Florida quarterback James Resar.
Veteran recruiting analyst Tom Lemming has been evaluating high school prospects since the late 1970s and lives in the Chicago area, so he is very familiar with Janowski as a prospect.
“A terrific all-around offensive lineman who can play guard or center at the next level,” Lemming said in a text message. “Very physical. He also stars in basketball..
“Very flexible and tough, does a great job of finishing his blocks.”
Janowski reportedly had 49 pancake blocks and didn’t allow a sack as a junior this past season, He also plays center for his high school basketball team.
It didn’t take long for Janowski to pick Iowa as he was offered a scholarship this past Saturday and then committed two days later on Monday.
Lemming currently ranks Janowski as a high 3-star recruit, but Lemming feels Janowski has four-star potential.
