Iowa offensive lineman Justin Britt has entered transfer portal
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Offensive lineman Justin Britt still hopes to end his college football career on an injury-free high note, but it won’t be as an Iowa Hawkeye.
Britt announced Friday afternoon on Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal as a graduate student after having spent four injury-riddled seasons at Iowa.
He thanked Iowa football for an amazing time and said that he can’t wait to see where the next chapter begins.
A native of Indianapolis, Britt has been plagued by injuries since his senior year of high school football in 2018 when he missed the entire season because of a knee injury.
Iowa still believed in Britt enough to offer him a scholarship, and he saw action in four games as a true freshman in 2019.
He also started the first three games at right guard in the 2021 season before yet another injury interrupted his season.
Britt then missed all the 2022 season because of injuries, but he has since earned his degree and is now looking for a fresh start somewhere else.
