2024 Adel-DeSoto RB Brevin Doll commits to Iowa
Second 2024 RB to commit to Iowa this weekend
IOWA CITY, Iowa – This has been a productive weekend for the Iowa football team in recruiting, and Iowa running backs coach Ladell Betts has to be smiling.
Iowa landed its second 2024 running back as Adel-DeSoto’s Brevin Doll announced his commitment on Sunday.
His announcement came a day after 2024 Indiana running back Xavier Williams committed to the Hawkeyes.
Doll picked Iowa over scholarship offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Minnesota among others.
In addition to his football prowess, Doll in highly accomplished as a sprinter in track where he has been clocked at 10.74 in the 100-meter dash and 21.89 in the 200.
He also has been clocked at 4.43 in the 40-yard dash.
Doll is the ninth player to commit to Iowa’s 2024 recruiting class, and the sixth from instate.
And while Doll is being recruited as a running back, he is listed by some recruiting websites as an athlete. And with his speed, Doll could be used in different ways.
“After talking with multiple different (Iowa) coaches and watching the Hawkeyes play, I feel like it’s a playing style that would suit me well,” Doll said in a recent interview with Hawk Fanatic. “However, just as importantly, it’s a place that has a culture that I could also see myself enjoying.”
