Hawk Fanatic week 11 predictions
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Dallas Jones has seen his once comfortable lead shrink to just one game heading into Iowa’s home finale against Illinois on Saturday.
The pressure could be starting to get to him with so much on the line.
This week’s list of games only includes two from the Big Ten, and no disrespect to the Big Ten, but two might be one too many.
Michigan at Maryland was considered since Michigan is now America’s team, but Hawk Fanatic has an unwritten rule that says a team can’t be on the list if its head coach is serving a suspension.
No games from the Southeastern Conference made the list, either, because this is the week in which multiple SEC teams step out of conference play to crush overmatched opponents, like for example Alabama hosting Chattanooga.

Iowa 15, Illinois 6: Iowa will score its points on one touchdown, which will be a pass from Nico Ragaini to Deacon Hill, a Drew Stevens point-after kick, two Drew Stevens field goals and a safety by Joe Evans.
Wisconsin 19, Nebraska 16: Barry Alvarez played football for Nebraska and then rebuilt the Wisconsin football program. And now he rarely seems to wear socks.
Texas 28, Iowa State 21: Rob Howe beat me to the line about Cyclone fans blaming this loss on the officials. So, my guess is they’ll blame it on NIL, the transfer portal, global warming, inflation, high interest rates and maybe even Brian Ferentz.
Kansas 31, Kansas State 30: Perhaps the only people watching this game with more interest than both fans bases will be the Texas A&M coaching search committee.
USC 47, UCLA 35: This game is to defense what I am to fashion.
Last week: 4-1
Overall: 34-16

Wisconsin 20, Nebraska 17: A whole lot of red and a whole lot of mediocre football.
Texas 24, Iowa State 20: The officials will be to blame, according to the Cyclone faithful.
Kansas 31, Kansas State 28: Either of these teams would win the Big Ten West.
USC 75, UCLA 74: Getting ready for basketball season.
Last week: 4-1
Overall: 30-20

Wisconsin 21, Nebraska 17: Wisconsin wins because I hate Nebraska. LIke any good Hawk fan does. 🙂
Texas 38, Iowa State 31: ISU holds their own but just can’t seal the deal and a late TD for Texas wins it.
Kansas 45, Kansas State 42: Kansas. I am loving Kansas this year. I think they win the in-state rivalry and it is exciting to see.
USC: 38, UCLA 21: USC and Caleb Williams turns it around a bit and makes a statement that Chip Kelly needs to go.
Lat week: 4-1
Overall: 33-12
