Iowa baseball crushes Bradley 20-1 at Duane Banks Field

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team defeated Bradley, 20-1, on Tuesday night at Duane Banks Field.
The Hawkeyes broke the game open in the fourth. Geffre and Strohmeyer each recorded RBI doubles, and senior Joey Nerat hit a two-run home run to push the lead into double digits.
Iowa continued its momentum in the fifth, getting RBI singles from redshirt sophomore Max Burt and redshirt freshman Brett White.
In the sixth, the Hawkeyes added five more runs, highlighted by a two-run home run from redshirt sophomore Jaixen Frost and a two-run double from White.
“It was everything you would want it to be and turned out to be a really nice night, said Heller. “Hopefully we can ride this into the weekend.”
– Schulte has now led off each of the past two games with a home run.
– Wulf opened his game with back-to-back doubles.
– The Hawkeyes previously defeated Bradley earlier this season, 21–8, on the road in a seven-inning game.
