IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Iowa All-America center Logan Jones was selected by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday, and with the 57th pick overall.
Jones, a native of Council Bluffs, was named the recipient of the 2025 Rimington Trophy, which goes to the nation’s top collegiate center.
He started his Hawkeye career as a defensive lineman before switching to center in 2022.
Jones started 51 games as a Hawkeye, was a unanimous consensus All-American as a senior, and served as a game captain all 13 games in 2025.
He played a key role in Iowa being named the recipient of the 2025 Joe Moore Award, which goes to the nation’s top collegiate offensive line.
Jones is the 22nd offensive linemen selected in the Kirk Ferentz era. This also marks the ninth time a Hawkeye offensive lineman has been drafted in the top three rounds, dating back to 2002.
