By Hawk Fanatic
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa Athletic Director Beth Goetz made her latest guest appearance on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast Friday morning.
She addressed multiple topics, including the controversies involving Brendan Sorsby and the Protect College Sports Act.
Goetz also looked back at the winter sports season, sharing her thoughts and observations on the Iowa men’s and women’s basketball teams, and on the Iowa wrestling team.
The Iowa men advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time since 1987 under first-year head coach Ben McCollum, while the Iowa women finished 15-3 in Big Ten play and 27-7 overall under second-year head coach Jan Jensen, but failed to advance past the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
The Iowa wrestling team, meanwhile, finished fourth at the NCAA Championships under head coach Tom Brands, and far behind national champion Penn State.
The interview with Goetz starts approximately 30 minutes into the 90-minute pocast.
