Three-star safety Dallas Craddieth has Iowa on top
IOWA CITY, Iowa – After a busy weekend on campus, three-star safety Dallas Craddieth has the Iowa football team at the top of his recruiting list.
The Florissant, Mo. native was on the Iowa campus this weekend with other recruits from the 2018 class as a part of the Iowa Tailgater event.
The recruits had a chance to tour the Iowa facilities, meet some of the Iowa players and talk to professors from the university.
"I got to eat lunch with a few players and tour the stadium and facility," Craddieth said. "(I got to) meet coach (Kirk) Ferentz and the academic coordinator."
The Iowa coaches have told Craddieth they like what they’ve seen and heard about him on and off the field and feel he would fit nicely in their defense.
"They think I have good character as a person and as a player," Craddieth said. "They also think I’m pretty athletic at safety and that I fit their scheme pretty well."
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Craddieth is being recruited as a safety, but could also play receiver.
"(They’re recruiting me at) safety and maybe receiver if needed but safety for the most part," Craddieth said. "I can play multiple positions and even in the box if needed."
Craddieth does not have a timetable for making a college choice, but he’d like to make a decision around this time next year.
