Chris Terek Discusses Iowa Football Official Visit
Decision Coming Soon for IL OL
Chris Terek has talked with HF about his special relationship with Iowa Football. The Hawkeyes encouraged his improvement and transformation into a sought-after Power 5 offensive lineman.
Iowa now waits to see if building that foundation wins over the Glen Ellyn (IL) Glenbard West High offensive lineman, who officially visited campus this weekend. With official visits to Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin also behind him, the Hawkeyes face stiff competition from Big Ten rivals.
“The visit was awesome,” he told HF. “Hanging out with the coaches and players was definitely my favorite part.”
Iowa has benefitted from recruiting Glenbard West in the past. Former offensive guard Jordan Walsh earned all-Big Ten laurels starting all 14 games during the Hawkeyes’ 12-2 season in 2015.
“I was with coach Walsh a bunch (this weekend),” Terek said. “He played and coached at the same high school as me.”
Terek (6-6, 295) camped at Iowa last summer. He returned for a game-day visit in the fall. He stopped back on campus in March during spring ball.
The official cemented the Hawkeyes’ place in his heart.
“The visit was awesome. It really left a great impression. I’ve always loved Iowa,” he said.
Terek, who is considering majoring in Construction Management and Engineering, enjoyed his four official visits this month. It’s led him to decision time.
“I’m going to be committing in the next few days,” he said.
The Hawkeyes appear well positioned to land his pledge.
Rivals ranks Terek as a three-star prospect, the No. 53 offensive tackle nationally and the 9th-best overall player in Illinois for the 2023 recruiting cycle.
