AH-TV: Fran McCaffery on what went wrong and a look ahead to next season
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – For the second year in a row, the Iowa men’s basketball saw its season end in the second-round of the NCAA Tournament.
And by the same score.
No. 2 seed Villanova jumped on the Hawkeyes early and then cruised to an 87-68 victory at the Barclays Center. Iowa also lost to Gonzaga in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season by the same score.
Iowa coach Fran McCaffery talks about what went wrong and about next season in the following video interview. McCaffery also pays tribute to his seniors, who helped Iowa win 89 games over the past four seasons.
