2024 Central Lyon LB Graham Eben commits to Iowa
Eben is 14th player to commit to Iowa's 2024 class
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Just a few hours after having landed a 2024 defensive end from Phoenix, Arizona, the Iowa football team received a verbal commitment from an instate recruit.
Graham Eben, a 2024 linebacker/safety from Central Lyon High School, annouced his commitment to Iowa late Monday afternoon on Twitter.
His commitment as a preferred walk-on came just a few hours after three-star defensive end and Phoenix native Devan Kennedy committed to Iowa.
Eben and Kennedy both visited the UI campus this past weekend.
Eben is the 14th player to commitment to Iowa’s 2024 class, and the seventh from instate.
He picked Iowa over scholarship offers from South Dakota, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, North Dakota and Northern Iowa.
Eben excels on both offense and defense as he rushed for 1,337 yards this past season. He also had 37 tackles and four interceptions as an outside linebacker and safety.
Eben helped lead Central Lyon to its second consecutive Class 2A state title this past season, and to a 13-0 record.
He is the second player from his high school team to pick Iowa as 2023 defensive back Zach Lutmer signed with the Hawkeyes this past December.
Iowa is recruiting the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Eben as a linebacker.
